Product Information: KGA Accident Cover

Definition:

To insure the insured (main member only) against the event of bodily injury caused by violent, accidental, external and visible means, which injury shall result, solely and independently of any
other cause, in his death within six months (6) of the happening of such event.

In support of this, there must thus be at least the following two (2) chains of causation:

  1. The death must be caused by the bodily injury
  2. The bodily injury must be caused by accident.

The following exclusions will apply:

  • Air Travel except as a passenger
  • Suicide or intentional self-injury
  • Influence of alcohol, drugs or narcotics
  • Participation in riot/civil commotion
  • War
  • Deliberate exposure to exceptional danger or criminal acts
  • Professional Sport
  • Nuclear risks
  • Acts of terrorism
  • Pre-existing medical conditions
